PoolMate2 automatically recognizes every stroke and lap change so you never have to count laps again.
All you need to do is make a first calibration run to set up the special open water mode, which uses the built-in accelerometer to do the metric calculations in the water.

The new PoolMate2 in addition to all the patented technologies for counting and recording laps in the pool, includes an open water mode to record your swimming sessions in the sea, lakes or rivers.
It incorporates a battery that lasts twice as long as its predecessor model PoolMate, plus a glass dial and a larger and clearer display for easy reading of data. Billed as a complete swimmer's watch, PoolMate2 gives you swimming data, including speed, distance, duration, strokes, calories and efficiency in pool and open water, plus a stopwatch mode for other activities.
Numerous studies and international coaches emphasize the importance of stroke count as a method of assessing increased swimming efficiency. Reducing the number of strokes per lap increases efficiency. PoolMate watches incorporate a unique system that measures your swimming efficiency. With this data you can see your progress over time.
We have designed a watch tailored to swimmers. Other highlights are its light weight, durable elastic strap, easy to read data on the display, stainless steel buttons, light and safety lock.
How does PoolMate2 work?
Poolmate measures the acceleration of the wrist during the stroke. It is not a GPS. An algorithm software developed by our engineers processes the signal of each stroke obtaining information of each lap, stroke, distance, speed and calorie consumption automatically. It works with Crol, Backstroke, Breaststroke and Butterfly, and all pool sizes from 10mt and above.
